Hi! So, SPX was great fun, wasn’t it? Were you there? I was!
Yup, the 2025 SPX Small Press Expo in Bethesda, MD (or Rockville, technically) just happened. I hadn’t tabled in quite some time, and it showed — my spot was absolute furthest from the entrance while still being in the hall — but I had a fantastic time all the same.

Wonderful table-neighbors! (C D Bligh! Johnny C! Keith Gleason!), Friendly visitors & customers! Lots of compliments on ULTRASTELLAR and enough sales to leave happy! What more could one ask for?
More room, you say? Done and done! Clever / sneaky me, I maximized the freedom of my far-back-corner spot and extended my half-table to a three-quarter-table; all it took was a suitcase under the tablecloth!

That gave Trevor’s Tree-fort Diorama just enough space for itself, leaving ample other room for ULTRASTELLAR books AND the old FGP minis.
Sure I’m being silly, but I genuinely appreciated the discounted rate for more room, something I couldn’t have pulled off in the middle of the hall. Sometimes it pays off to be placed in the pasture!
Overall, regardless of where I’m placed in the room, I would LOVE to be back at SPX again. What a dedicated group of attendees! Lots of people came both days, and it was clear that many had attended through previous years.
Whatever year I next return to SPX, I know it’ll be a great convention and time well spent!
