This is one of five music videos I helped build for Space-Cadet Industries. The client was the Laurie Berkner Band, and this work was part of a DVD package of 12 music videos that told a continuous story.
I was given the live action (actors on greenscreen), the living room AE environment, a designed still frame of the bug characters, reference of the other videos also being built at the time, and the music track. I set up the scenes and their multiplane camera shots (matching some handheld live), created & animated the puppet characters, designed & staged the bugs’ multiplane environments, matted the live, and composited it all. The final video has adjustments made by the lead director, Bil White; this is an earlier version I completed for the studio and reflects the work I provided up until the handoff point.
